Abstract

Cleidocranial dysplasia is a rare autosomal dominent disorder characterized by aplasia or hypoplasia of the clavicles, an open fontanelle, and dental abnormalities. We present the case of an 11-year-old female with short stature and mixed dentition. The patient demonstrated abnormal hypermobility of the shoulder, ocular hypertelorism, and a concave nasal bridge. Examination of panoramic imagesrevealed some morphological abnormalities of the maxilla and mandible, particularly in the ascending ramus and coronoid process. Characteristics includingwide discontinuity of the zygomatic arch, wide nose bridge, near parallel-sided borders of the ascending ramus of the mandible, and obtuse mandibular angle were confirmed by 3-dimensional imaging using cone-beam computed tomography.
